Here's the text of his comeback email to me. So nice that he's concerned with my family, eh?
alright,
dont worry about the price. but there is a kind of negotiation that i want to seal up with you.

i am ready to give you a chashiers check drawn oin a us bank but on a condition.
you see , there is a client of mine in the united states owing me some certain amount of money.
He told me to come and pick the check up that he has issued it out without any name on it and i have already told him that i will be travelling to an africa country and i will have to send someone down to him
to pick up the check but since i am on a negotiation of getting your equipment i have decided that the check will be issued out in your name .
He is suppose to give me the sum of $5,500. I dont want a situation whereby you will tell me that the check is not cleared thats why i want you to cash the money first. The only thing that remains to do for me is that my client will send you the check and you will take the check to the bank and whenever the check clears you will then help me to wire the remaining amount to my shipper via MONE GRAM who will make arrangement for the pick up of the equipment.
at this point i want to know if i can put a little trust on you concernig this business.
if you are ready for me then i will need the following info from you .
name ...
adress...
zip.code..
tel no..
i will be expecting your reply.
say hello to your family.
richard

He already has my name, address and phone # so I don't know why he asks for that. It's right there in the ad.
???

Today's Featured Article - The Nuts and Bolts of Fasteners - Part 2 - by Curtis Von Fange. In our previous article we discussed capscrews, bolts, and nuts along with their relative hardness and thread sizes. In this segment we will finish up on our fasteners and then work with ways to keep them from loosening up in the field. Capscrews, bolts and nuts are not the only means of holding two parts together. When dealing with thinner metals like sheet tin, a long bolt and ... [Read Article]
