Any reputable commerical hauler will not be offended by such requests. It's your money and merchandise, have you obtained a written hauling contract yet specifying what services you are getting, when delivery is accomplished, where the merchandise is to be delivered, who insures the tractor? Request a contract by fax with the haulers signature to accompany the faxed license information and DOT registration number. That's my method for such transactions.
