You hit the nail on the head. They know how much they want for the thing, but do not want to eliminate the uneducated or enthusiastic person that is willing to pay much more than market value. I don't think I have ever seen a case where someone has something for sale at say $1000 and someone else offers to buy it at $1500. To me it is a little dishonest. Dan
