My take on the American Cancer Society is quite different from yours. The watchdog groups which monitor non-profit organizations consistently rank them in the top 5 for the way they distribute their money. About 6% for administration, 15% for fund raising and everything else for detection, prevention, patient support, research, etc. I agree there are no cures, but the expected life spans of those with many forms of cancer are continually increasing; the quality of life is better also. My parents led healthy lifestyles, but both died of cancer; my wife is a breast cancer survivor. One of the most rewarding things I do is to participate in the annual local Relay-for-Life; join up; you'll never be sorry. Check out the American Cancer Society's web site..........
