I had a few calls once asking for donations to the Police Officers Retirement fund. I just told them that if they do not have a retirement plan being State employees. Then they need to find another line of work.

I have found that asking for a call back number will usally seperate the scammers from the legits.

The best one I have had in awhile was some guy That kept calling every day or two telling me that he can get me a better interest on my American Express card. I lead him on for about an hour. Then told him that I use VISA and if I ever decided to get an American Express card that I would be sure to contact him for a better rate. He has not called back since.
