Like many folks around here, I'm a purist & don't like the hydro tranny. ;) but either machine will be fine, they are about equal for quality & resale & such. I'd shop for dealer & value I like, which controls are handier, which seat feels better at this point. by the way, I have niether, just reciently I got a different color compact... --->Paul
