JAY . Send me seven digit Delco Remy number on the unit. Describe contact as best you can. If can help fine, if I cant , send email address for direct reply. I assume this similar to brigs and stratton units,etc. Is the post insulation still ok ?? While apart check for thrown solder from armature, usually a ring of solder around inside of case on brush end. No promises but I'll give a shot. art evans arevans@verizon.net
