I had 2 dodges with the auto,wouldn't have
another.It's basically a car tranny with a
different torque converter.I've seen several
go out at less than 20K miles.It's not uncommon
to have two or three rebuilds in 100K miles.
It's geared to high in first gear to start a
load and to high in reverse.I've had to use the
4x4 to get started on a hill with a 6 ton tractor
on the trailer.I usually need the 4x4 low range
to back around when loaded.The engine is about the only good part of a Dodge.Don't get me started on brakes.
