You hit on a very good point. I know why people are buying old instead of new on small tractors. Alot cheaper and more useful in alot of cases. Is what gets me is, these poeple that go to an auction and go crazzy bidding on a Farmall Cub, or an A for a tractor to take home and use. Run them up to $1500 to $2000 or higher. Then they turn around and won't even bid on a useable but nothing fancy H or M that sells for $700 to $800. I got a friend that has been nagging at me to buy his C Farmall. He wants more for it than I have invested in any of my H's, M, or F-20. I just think I would be crazzy to do that. Anyways, I am sure glad atleast somebody else smartened up and bought the bigger older tractor for less money. Good for you. I'm glad you got the M. Maybe a little big for yard tractor. But when your neighbors look at you funny, you can look back and laugh at them because you got a bigger tractor for far less money. And hey, those big tractors can work at idle if the job is to small.
