There are still deals to be had at almost any auction, but you must know when to quit and how much the item you are bidding on is actually worth and stick to it. I find that even at an auction where people are going crazy, there will always be something that goes cheap, like haying equipment in the winter, things that people don't need right then sometimes go cheap, but they'll later be kicking themselves for not buying after they price it at the dealer in the spring. You sure can be pround of your purchase for example if you bought something for $2,400 that a dealer up the road wants $5,000 for, you did alright wouldn't you say?.
