I guess it's more the geography of your operation. The DEC in NY dictate where and what you can cut, especially if your working the Adirondack Park. You wouldn't be able to use that beauty to get anywhere near the cutting. My Uncle's outfit cruises and builds a road into the center during summer, cuts in the late fall and when the forest floor freezes they start skidding to the center loading area where there's a 1950's dedicated loader to fill the trucks. Actually a very low impact and clean operation. Usually after a year, you can't hardly tell they were there.
