Now I remember why the name rang a bell to me--I saw the tractor pull at Vandalia, Missouri. Vandalia is a short distance from Mexico. This was back in the days before automatic sleds, so they had two more people step onto and add their weight to the sled every few feet. Very dangerous. The thing I remember most about the Sydenstrickers was the pretty daughter they had that was about my age. WOW!
