JW, I can't speak of any experience pulling a planter with it but I love my 4430 quad for pulling my round baler. I have had 2 of them, both with triple hydrualics and quad trannies. My personal opinion of IH tractors is very much not good. I have only owned a 656 for a very short time, few days actually, found too many things on it after getting it home that needed fixing. Would have kept it if I knew then what I know now. Anyhow on the 86 series IH though, I do not like the cabs on them, I don't like the TA transmissions as I have heard some bad things about them, probably why they offer a TA removal kit. I personally have a hard time getting in and out of them, you can just walk right into a Deere. I'll be honest I have never drove a 86 Series IH basically because of the things listed above. I have sat in them and basically it made me kinda sick! I had a cousin who had 2 1486's and 1 1586 and a 1256( I think?). I don't want anyone to take offense color wise, this is just my opinion and I'm really not trying to run down the red ones, they are alot of them around but in our area you see way more green machines out there.

It increased the farm productivity and, in general, made life easier because more work could be done with this 'mechanical beast'. My dad dreamed that some day he would have his own tractor with every implement he could get. When he rea
