A nice old guy I talk to in our village used to work for an agricultural machinery dealership. One of his favourite stories was about the time they had just employed a new secretary, and his boss asked her to 'write a letter, to Allis Chalmers'. when it came to him to read the proof, she had begun the letter-: "Dear Mrs. Chalmers"
