I have one in a shrimp boat--worked it for 10 seasons in Mississippi. The boat was vandalized in Alabama and the engine got water in it. Now I need another engine--looking for a turbo version though. It's a great engine, good on fuel and never used any oil. Also, we ran the engine for several seasons at 195 degrees while trawling--finally sorted out cooling problems (clogs) in the exhaust elbow, fixed that and the temp never got over 180 degrees. Not a showy engine--the rich guys always had CATs, Cummins or Volvos, but they spent more time at the fuel dock than I did.
