Hi Dick , I'm no computor wiz. I had the same problem you have. Very slow. A friend of mine said to buy a card reader , which would be connected to the computor. Well , I went a step further. My printer needed replacing. So I bought a new HP printer with built in card reader. It use to take me , sometimes 45 minutes or so , to up-load pictures from my camera to the computor. With the card reader , it takes around one or two seconds. The card reader also does not wear on camera batteries. Card readers by them selves are very cheap in price. Make shure you get the propper format
