Jim, Being slightly more than a little gray, I do remember the New Departure Coaster brakes on bicycles. I also remember the first time I took one apart at age maybe 7, and the adventure of trying to get it back together right. I did, with lots of cursing seldom uttered by a 7 year old kid, and have been attracted to anything mechanical or greasy ever since.
