Well to tell you the truth the only thing that has worked for me here in the La. swampland is staying inside or screening the porch. Even then they find you. Have heard that those new propane things work pretty good but have no personal experience with them.
As stated Martins are fun to watch and eat mosquitoes. Better choice is Bats. Sometimes hard to get them to move in because they are particular where they live but worth the try.

Better yet pray for some cold weather to knock them down or you could always move up north and put up with that white stuff.

Remember to use your TRACTOR to carry the bird or bat house into the field.
