I watched a guy having his 8N pulled by a truck to start it. He had it in first gear! After the truck got up to about 15+ mph they droped the clutch. Man you should have seen it the tires skipped some and the engine over reved and blew the clutch apart. I bet for a second or 2 that baby got up to near 6,000 rpms! Allways use the highest gear first because it works in reverse as far as engine speed. Mark H.

My first recollection of this tractor was when dad allowed my brother and myself to ride on the tractor with him driving.
