Demanded? I guess I don't understand what you are trying to say. When I bought my '50 Ford F-6, I couldn't get the rear end into high range, nor did the speedometer work. My wife was following me in my F-150 and we headed out down I-5 thru Redmond and Bellevue, WA. I stayed in the right lane, but kept up for the most part. When I got home I asked my wife what my speed was. She told me I was around 55 most of the way and got up to 60 at times. Recall this was with the rear end in low range. I don't know what interstates you drive, but 55-60 should meet all legal requirements. I believe the only posted minimum I've ever seen has been 45.
