Keep her 6 volt if you can. I found some battery cables from Fleet Farm that are for trucks. These things are thick as thick as your thumb. Only cost 5 or 6 bucks each. Cranks my H like a dream.
You put big cables on aclean contact you will have no problems. You could also put a 8 volt battery with out making any alternator changes at all. Still want big cables though.
