If you would move it to the center, you would have to rework the air intake, that is in the center under the hood from factory. Plus you would have to attach the muffler to the hood solid and use a "bell coupler" to match the two sections of exhaust when you lift the hood. If you use it for cultivating, you are more than likely looking down at the row for guidance, the muffler is above that line of sight. I don't use the 2590 for cultivating, can't get the rear wheels pulled in tight enough to use in 30" rows. And I use a mirror for guidance and that mounts on the right side of the frame.
