Gas trucks in the intermountian area are a thing of the past, the main reason is that diesels are turbocharged. the power differances becomes much more apparent when a lot of your driving is above 6000ft. As for numbers Ford , Dodge and Gm. One negative I've heard on the Fords is that no one is building an exhaust brake yet for the new ones. As for durability their are several of each {dodge and fords}still going at past 300,000 Duramax hasn't been around long enough yet. Most of the old Gm,s were considered junk
