I grew up in Gregory county....just north of the sandhills of nebraska. If you think land out there is expensive, check around! I just bought 9 acres here in WA and paid $10,000 more than what my 120 acres of farmland in SD is assessed at (and I can't find a buyer at that price)! I've lived in Michigan, Utah, Oregon and WA but SD is still the cheapest by far....ND and WY might be a little cheaper. Sure wish somebody would invent a way to move land....
