I've had several people comment to me that mine seems a bit loud too. Must be something to that. I'm almost deaf, and almost always wear earplugs, so I don't notice it.
I do 75% of my hay work with my 2440. That changes in the HOT part of summer. Then I break out the 4440, with air conditioned cab! John
