Reply to hold on.. hold on now... #1. I always look up the source header for and suspicious email so I have SOME idea where it actually came from. #2. I don't know if I was raised too badly... I was taught that if something seemed to good to be true, it probably wasn't true, and I was taught not to be greedy. Most of these scams rely on convincing people there is some great profit in it for them, and the scam succeeds because of their greed. #3. I don't claim to be smarter than ANYONE here. It's just that on the dozen or so message boards on old iron, or old collectable cars, etc. etc. I check out everyday this scam scenario justs keeps repeating itself. I would think that anyone who views any of these message boards at all would have, by now, seen one of the dozens of previous posts of these scams, and would be aware of them by now. Another good suggestion before getting involved in any of these transactions is to visit with a banker you know and trust. Most bankers these days are VERY familiar with these scams, and can offer advice.
