Get it hot and change oil and filter. Use Mobil Delvac 1300 15W40 diesel oil and a good filter. Change it every 40 hours for 2 or 3 cycles; then revert to changing oil and filter every 100 hours - NO LONGER. I bought a 20 year old diesel tractor and shortly after I added one quart of Gunk Engine Cleaner and let it idle for 10 minutes, then drained, new oil and filter; ran it about 8 hours, drained, new oil and filter. That was over one year ago. Now the oil stays clean looking for about 40 hours after change. I change every 80 to 100 hours.
