Your personal check is the safest, and easist form of payment to carry with you. Bank drafts, and certified checks are some of the most common forged items there are. I would rather sell anything to anybody, and see them write out a personal check in front of me, than have them pull out a cashier check already made out. You can be a pretty good judge of a buyer's honesty, when you watch them sign their name to a big dollar check that would qualify them for a Grand Theft charge if it turned out to be anything but good! Everybody is so concerned that any big transactions have to be in cash...what are you dealing in...drugs or machinery? I agree with Mark in AB; the guy that shows up at my place with a suitcase of cash is the one that I would turn away!
