I dunno what tractor you have, but if a local is willing to give you $3500 and he knows that you do not know what you have, then you can bet it is worth more than what he is offering.

Also, on the car trade; in two years that Ford is going to be worth about $500. Anything that says "Deere" will do nothing but go up in value.

I think I'd pass if I were you; on both counts.
