Got my right index finger shortened severely in Jan 1972, and the workman's comp insurance company said it was worth $2000.00 if you took the pay out over a 10 yr period of time. Told them where to stick it to keep it out of the sunshine, and they paid it in a lump payout less the 10 0/0 penalty. Have never been too happy with that settlement. I am fortunate enough to be left handed. I have always had to wear a glove on it when it is cold, and have the worst time trying to scratch the tip of it when it itches! Gene Davis
