Bought a Kubota L245DT in 1982, have worked it pretty hard about half of the following years, and the only thing we ever did to it was replace the radiator and the battery. We have also had JD products that have given us excellent service as well. We have never had a Yanmar, mainly because there are no Yanmar dealers araound. I think the most important feature of any of these tractors is the dealer. Even if you are buying a used tractor, buy one that there is a reputable dealer in your area. It makes all the difference.
