My girlfriend drives a Dodge 4wd with a Cummins diesel. Her soon to be ex-husband says the tractability of a dual wheeled truck is lower than a conventional. He reasons that the rear wheels must cut a new path through the snow thereby impeding his forward momentum and his traction. I think this is a crock. The more wheel on the ground the greater the traction. If this weren't true, there would be no purpose in tracked vehicles. Besides, the rear wheels do not always follow the front wheels on any vehicle, as turns must frequently be negotiated. My purpose in this is not to prove her ex wrong. I simply wish to pave the way for the future purchase of a duallie. I appreciate the help and apologize if this isn't appropriate to this site, but you guys have an awful lot of knowledge here. Jim
