Harvey is right. Small claims is a joke.All you can get is a piece of paper saying he owes you ?$ amount. but you have no way to collect if he doesn't want to pay.,been there done that. Go to him with a witness,a face to face might do the trick. Better yet go to him with your lawyer face to face.Remember to bring the guy who witnessed the original deal.
Or hire thugs to break his legs. I just had to say that.
