I broke the center out of a spark plug and welded in a 1/4 inch air fitting so I could put air pressure in the cylinders and check the condition of the valves, guides ect. With both valves closed I put pressure in the # 2 cylinder and I have air blowing out around the push rods and out the oil fill hole with the cap removed. If I do a compression test both cylinders are within ten pounds of each other and both hold pressure for about 15 to 20 minutes. I have no air blowing out the intake side of the manifold with the carb removed. And no air blowing out the exhaust side of the manifold with the exhaust pipe removed. Can anyone tell me why I have air blowing out around the push rods. Thanks for any help, Tim
