Here is what my Grandpa did. I got a JD petal tractor about 1955 for Christmas, with the stipuation, that when I out-grew it, it would go back to Grandpa's house. I'm the oldest grandson, so all my cousins had the opportunity to play with the tractor. When my son was born (the oldest great grandson) the tractor went to Dad's house. My son and all my nieces and nephews got to play with the tractor. When my son had he first child, the tractor came to my house. My grandchildren and my neices and nephews love to play with the old tractor. They also like to get rides on the real tractor, 1956 JD model 60 that my Grandpa bought new, and matches the petal tractor. The petal tractor has been rebuilt, repainted, etc. several times over the years. I look forward to passing it on to my son when he becomes a Grandpa !!!!
