There's been alot of questions about what coolant to use in a Ford PSD engine. Ford came out with there new "Gold" coolant in 2002 that does NOT require any SCA additives during it's 100k life span. Ford stated NOT to use the "Gold" coolant in prior years until testing was done. Apparently Ford is now done testing the Gold coolant with 1999 thru 2004 PSD engines and has approved the use in these model years. A TSB will be issued soon. Ford did state that 1998 and older PSD engines have a seal that is NOT compatible with the Gold coolant. Zerex GO-5 is a direct replacement for Fords Gold coolant. They say Checker Auto carrys it. Just thought you guys would like to here the rumor. I'll believe it when I read the Ford TSB. I'm still having puter problems and lost alot of my e-mail addy's and info. I should have everything fixed by the end of next week. Working on a 19.2k cell modem is not fun! T_Bone
