Cleaning Gas tank on an Allis WD

I recently bought an Allis WD. I am working on draining all fluids and putting new in. I drained the gas tank and there was all kinds of yuck in the gas. How should I clean out the tank? I was thinking of using a small shop-vac to try and suck up all the loose stuff? Any help would be appreciated. I have lots of questions I am new to WD's if anyone wants to take the time to answer them please e-mail me at [email protected]. I have several questions. Thanks!
