I remember that incident (if it is the same one) happened in the early 70's when the kid went to take dinner to his dad - sickle mower with the wooden flag rotted off. I was a kid at the time also - my imagination went wild when they told me they sewed his feet back on and then had to amputate again just below the knees because his body rejected/gangrine set in. My sympathies to the whole family. My little brother's best friend fell into a PTO shaft a week later - U of M Hospital sewed them back on SUCCESSFULLY; he is now almost 40 and will whip you arm wrestling every time. John_V
