Can't comment on the Mantis but I have a Troy-bilt Horse model (pre-MTD) with B&S motor. Running the same plug, starts 2nd pull everytime. I am VERY SATISFIED. I do run with Stabil in the tank all the time to prevent gumming up the works. FWIW
