I've used a Mantis with the 2 stroke motor. I really didn't like the noise and smoke. Now you can buy the Manis with a Honda or even an electric motor. But, why pay more for the Mantis name, when you can buy a mini Honda right from Honda. That's what i did, and it was cheaper. Honda uses the same worm drive tranny, and of course the same motor too, so only the tines are slightly different, and i can't see any difference in how they work. If i need service, i can take it to a Honda dealer, and they are all over!!! I use a Howard Rotavator to break the ground first, and use my mini Honda for weeding ect.. Robert
