Say what you will between the M and the G, most G's still have the rearend that Deere installed new, most M's in our area didn't. Some were on their third by the time the 806's came out. M is a good tractor though! Can't beat the sound of a G pulling a plow through a hard spot. Seemed like the Olivers always sounded good, until the load got to them, then the rpms's would drop off a cliff... The Allis's, good loader tractors, and baler tractors, but very few snap coupler plows in our area, and with a trailer plow they didn't hack it. Neighbor had a straight M, and a WD-45, M outpulled the WD-45 every time with a trailer plow, usually in 3rd. My two cents... Doc
