I hear you loud and clear. Hasn't stopped raining since the start of moose season in mid Sept. Drowned it and the deer hunt too. Area here in Bruce County is about foot of top soil, two feet of brown clay, then 90 feet of shale/limestone hard impervious blue clay. Ponds of water are now seen on even the smallest of depressions, even on hill tops. The top 2-3 feet of soil is 100% saturated and running off where it can. Water will never make it's way down through the blue clay. Tried to bring in equipment heavy enough to dig deep enough through to bury water lines to the shed since Sept. And a drainage line from the deck/pond area of the house. Previous dumb *ss owners tried to run water uphill to an old drain, typical of most of their workmanship. The BobCat 322 tracked excavator could only dig virgin ground three feet deep. Did use it to keep cleaning out cave ins. Rolled the poor wee thing into the trench once too as the soil mushed out. The 4WD backhoe tractor needed a long chain and another tractor as an anchor to pull it's self out twice. Finally finished the job with a floatation tracked Case 9020B excavator last week.
