20 HP is 20 HP. On the pto both the garden tractor and the field tractor would do the same amount of work per hour.
The Farmall would rut a lawn to pieces and a garden tractor won't.
A light weight garden tractor with R-4 tires isn't goint to out pull a heavier machine with R-1 tires on loose soil.
Why are you comparing apples and oranges?

Memories of an IH Super A When I was ? up to 10, I worked on my Papaw's farm in Greeneville, TN every summer. As I grew older (7), it was the thrill of my day to ride or drive on the tractor.
