Once I was complaining about the wet and muddy conditions on an excavating job we were doing, in a not so gentlemanly way. One of my older, trusted operators said "there is no such thing bad dirt in our business, that's how we make our living!" He's the same operator, that when I complemnted him for finishing a road bed with a 1:2 embankment with just an old Cat 12F, He said"the trouble with not knowing what yer doin, is that you never know when yer done!, and I'm done!!)
