Hi Allen, Tnx for the info --well the seal is the wick type but not one that will be easy to replace on the IH 175 engine anyway. The top and bottom seal (wick) holders have small extrusions all around the inside which precludes rolling them out and a new one in. You must unbolt these carriers and removed the seal then replace it. To do this I have to split the tractor and remove clutch and flywheel and the pan to get them off the engine. Very discouraging to say the least as my shop is very small with a big tractor in the middle of it.Oh well!! tnx agn John
