Well, I tried! Used a few plumbing fittings, a snap on coupler for air hose, jammed a portion of tubing out of a valve stem to form a jet - and jammed pop-rivet, minus shank in the valve stem to further reduce the airflow. A REAL RUBE GOLBERG SETUP>Yes it worked! No, it didn't work real well! I attached a plastic hose to the sand intake port, now I use it as a mini-vacuum, for things like sucking gasoline out of small engine tanks, etc. For a few bucks you can get a hand held blaster nozzle with a hose attachment to suck sand from a bag/bucket. You can add a homemade funnel fairly easily, and it is far superior to what you can probably "rig up."
