A easy check for a poor or bad ground us to use a battery jumper cable from a exposed, non rusty bolt on the truck to a bare bolt on the trailer. If it cures some or all the problems then it is time to check all ground connections again. Even if they look good there could be rust or corrosion. I have limped several trailers home with a jumper cable wrapped around the bumper and trailer tongue to keep the strain off the clamps - crude but it works.
