Martin, If it's stock, the M doesn't have live PTO. That drawback can be basically negated with an overrun clutch for 60 to 80 bucks. You haven't mentioned the difference in price between the two. They'll both do the job. Both are good machines. Parts are available for both. Flip a coin, choose red or orange, or go with whichever seller will knock a few hundred off the price. OR -- do it the right way and buy them both, so you'll never regret not buying the other one. Tell your wife that with these old tractors you need a backup, and you've still saved a bundle versus the cost of a new, >30hp tractor.
