Hhmmm.... I think you many be onto something there. I really don't have much experience with silo blowers, but I should think those would create enough suction (you might be able to modify the inlet for better suction) and then you could rig it up so that it would bag it too. I would think you could also make one out of a shop vac and an old push mower frame. Just mount the shop vac onto the frame and attach the wide floor cleaning attachment (maybe you could make up a wider attachment if it worked really good) just off the ground and then you could push it around sucking up yard debris. The only major drawback is you'd have to have power for the shop vac via extension cords. I dunno, those are just some idea quick ideas.
