Interesting and informative article. One question .... I think the article is saying that if the polarity is reversed, then 24 volts is leaving the battery (at least that's what the first diagram says). Are you saying that if a tractor has a generator that is improperly polarized then a voltmeter leaving the battery would show twice as much voltage as normal (ie. 24 volts in a 12V system and/or 12 volts in a 6V system)?
